COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) ? Republican vice-presidential nominee Paul Ryan is telling a national sportsmen group that he and Mitt Romney would work to prevent any more restrictions on hunting and gun ownership.

Speaking to around 1,000 members of the the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance at a rally on Saturday night, Ryan said he will fight any more restrictions to public lands access for hunters.

The Wisconsin congressman, a hunting enthusiast, says he will also fight encroachments on individual's right to bear arms.

Ryan's speech brought him back to Ohio after campaigning earlier this week in Lima, Cincinnati and the Dayton area. He spoke earlier in the day to supporters in another swing state, New Hampshire.
