AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- Ethnic food specialties in northeast Ohio are sharing the national spotlight this weekend.

Parade magazine highlights some top eateries in northeast Ohio in its "Midwest at its Best" feature.

Included are Polish specialties at Babuska's Kitchen in Northfield Center, what's called "Killer Brownies" at Akron's West Point Market and spicy chicken and Hungarian chicken paprikash in Barberton.

The final shoutout from Parade Magazine goes to "ridiculously thick shakes" at the Taggarts sweet shop in Canton.
